my answer to that is yes. i think the US can. When everyone was dehydrated and consumed with thirst, the brotherhood in the marines really stood out as they passed around one jug of water. the Japanese poisoned the water, which i suppose we would have too in the situation. On the other hand i saw no merciful action by the japanese so i say US win.
